Everyone starts as a Novice, then walks one of five roads. At job level 40 each road forks into two second jobs, and the Rekindling at level 99 sends a Wayfarer down the same road again, higher.

The road ahead
Second jobs. At job level 40 a Wayfarer goes Underhill to the stone of their patron and takes a second name. Every patron has two faces, so every road forks in two.
The Rekindling. At level 99 the Long Night begins: the Wayfarer walks into the Cauldron and comes out at the spring as a High Novice — and later takes the very same second name again, spoken a second time.
